The failure of the Western world project isn’t new. However, the year 2020 has brought its unavoidable evidence with the spectral presence, because invisible – and absolutely real -, of the pandemic. Will it be dangerous to trespass the imposed limit by the discovery of our precariousness in the construction of shared manners of well living? Certainly and with absolute urgency it will be necessary. Fighting every form of exclusion, the experimental cinema is a weapon that brings the voices and the lives of those who disturb the oppressive hegemonic order of the cultural industry. The program “Danger, do not trespass” brings films where the revolutionary potency of the experimental cinema uses the tools of the montage and the magic of movement to help emerge trapped voices and critical visions about colonial history and the bourgeoisie revolutions. The speech of the class struggle, the faded pain of the enslaved in a colonial economy, the dilemmas, the gestures and revolutionary acts are covered in movies that dig deep into the iconographic and audible archives, accepting the challenge of retelling the history and making up new images to express the violence and the deadlock of the contemporary world.
